And the award for the thickest councillor of the week goes to;

Hoylake Conservative councillor John Hale said: "I'm trying to find out how much of this change has been brought in as an act of Parliament and how much of it are policies brought in by Wirral's licensing department.

"Mr Beck's is the biggest company involved, but I really sympathise with all those companies affected by this, because it seems that that they are being badly hit."

Maybe we should ask this stupid cow if it's Tory policy to allow un-checked/un-licensed drivers and vehicles to take the most vulnerable in society to school? :?

Can't wait for the increase in revenue next year, of the course the councils and govt will blame "greedy" operators. ](*,)

Isn't that article just flaming stupid !
Well here is my point of view on this cr*p
If it was my kids been transported I would insist that the driver and escort was CRB checked.
( As all my escorts are now )
I mean these operators could have any bloody history and have committed any offence....we as parents need to be sure
that the man taking our kids to school are not "inmates that have been released from the paedop*ile wing"
I mean all us drivers are CRB checked, and licenced and now also checked again by the departments giving the contract work out.
Yep we have a lot of badges....

But it has to be this way !

Get these operators out now ! Don't feel sorry for them ! feel safe that they can NO LONGER operate as un checked people in charge of venerable children.
I am over the moon this legislation has been brought in.
LISTEN that mental twait in the article
THAT SILLY TWAIT STANDING IN THE MINI BUS wrote:
say new legislation will almost certainly force them out of business.

THAT FRUITCAKE wrote:
But Edward Beck, owner of the Hoylake-based company, fears that the new legislation will mean he has to close the business with the loss of more than 60 jobs.

He told the Globe: "I've said that I'll shut the doors in January and I'm prepared to do that, because this law would cost me an extra £30,000 a year to run and I cannot afford this. It's a money-making exercise for the council.

Listen the sh*t coming out his silly gob ! Its a money making exercise for the council....
You silly NOB...its an exercises to eliminate UN-CHECKED people like you ...been in charge of OUR KIDS...who are you ? PEDO PETER ?
He could be for all we know.....
Well its about time this has happened THE LOONY

From that nob's article wrote:
In order to qualify, all drivers will have to take a knowledge test and each vehicle would have to be maintained and re-registered for £500 every year. Everyone applying for jobs will be subject to rigorous police checks.

So whats NEW ? Its just right and WE TAXI DRIVERS DO IT ALL THE TIME.
And we have no problem with it as we can see the position we are in and we need to be checked !
If I was not checked I would then ask questions.

Who the hell even has the ar*e to defend this act of unsafeness.
No check means a public safety issue !
I cant believe he has the a*se to comment on it !

Steve

I quite agree with all these having the same checks to motors and staff, But dont be surprised that after going through all the same checks and paying for the badges & plates for PH there are a lot more cars out there doing PH work..They will want to recope there out lay somehow...

I've been away for a few days and having read this thread on my return, I decided to post a message on the message board of this Newspaper. I thought people should be reminded of the reason why the section was repealed and that if they needed any further evidence all they need do is read the news sections on TDO.

Regards

JD

There is no restriction on P/H licenses but lets not forget that the 7 day exemption clause didn't stop Mr Matina raping a lady he picked up while masquerading as a taxi/ph driver in a vehicle that wasn't licensed for such an operation or indeed required him to have a mandatory crb check?
