So what is the current position on Council's legal position for introducing accessable vehicles in relation to Disability Discrimination Act 1995?

There is no legal position, at least not until the Government announce one.

You may find that many councils have taken on a moral position but that is all.

Until a proper criteria is in place for vehicles I can't see it happening.

But many councils are either going 100% WAV, or implementing policies to increase the amount of WAVs.

But the DfT did publish the first phase list of councils, so something might happen in the next 10 years.
