On the front page of PHM it implies that Solihull have had a re-nag over lifting taxi restrictions. http://www.phtm.co.uk/media/1091519422.pdf As you can see, PHM are saying that marshals are the way forward for those councils that still restrict, and Solihull are the first to stop de-reg in favour of marshals. It appears that PHM are wrong, and Solihull have just released a press notice saying so. http://www.solihull.gov.uk/wwwce/asps/a ... asp?id=670 And the full details of what was passed can be found on http://www.solihull.gov.uk/wwwcp/LICSub/2004/040802.pdf |

What a bizarre idea, linking the idea of marshalls with not needing to uncap numbers. It's like saying that there was no need to abolish slavery if GM modified cotton plantations had been developed. Or summat like that! I just don't think these people get it. |

Marshals are great at helping clear busy ranks at night. They are not great at suppressing un-met demand. Or is someone suggesting that we also assess the number of rank marshals during surveys.
