Is it legal for private hire to use IVR ( Interactive Voice Recognition) as it does not take the passengers destination which is a requirement of their operators licence ?

I think the council's PH ops conditions need to be up-dated to take account of services such as IVR.

Is it legal? I say yes.

Is it in breach of such PH ops conditions? Maybe.

Would a court convict a driver who has used IVR? I very much doubt it.
