Taxi Driver Online

Hi,

I searched for bluetooth on the forum but surprisingly nothing came up. I want to find out which bluetooth headset is recomended by drivers. I have couple of cheapy ones but the problem is the battery life is poor. If I charge them right up then switch them on at start of shift they go dead after about 5 hours, even if I have only actually spoken on them a few times.

Thats no use, so what I want is a headset that runs for a longer time, and has good clear sound level, and easy to use and comfy to wear, and doesn't look too stupid.

Any suggestions please ?

I suppose it must depend on how long you spend chatting.

I have had one of these for 2 years works very well, set phone to auto answer and you don't need to touch anything when it rings
You can even leave your phone in the cab and answer up to 40 metres away, very comfortable to wear as well
Talk time 6 hours standby up to a week

I bought a sat nav with bluetooth. Sort of kills two birds with one stone so to speak. I have mine plugged in to the 12 volt all the time. The down side is that all your calls are on loud speaker. Also if you don't mind your calls being on loud speaker and it is your car, you could consider a bluetooth radio. I have these in a couple of cars. No problem with going dead.

Thats not an Earpice Skip..its about the Size of one of Britains early warning radars...

I use a nice wee Motorola H17 earpice..nothing goes in your Ear that'll cause infection, it just sits nice and comfily over your ear..and it blocks out back ground noise...around £25 from Fleabay.

The plantronic does not go in your ear either and does not flap about like most ear pieces

I've had this for about a year. Lasts about 6 hours talking.

Very comfy and not in your face. I sometimes forget I'm wearing it.
