Just me back with another question, so I have my car, Skoda Octavia, just waiting on the V5 then going to apply for the operators licence, I managed to get the details of a guy that installs
meters (76 miles away) It'll be fairly more expensive than in a city thats for sure, he has offered me an second hand Digitax F2 for £120, £180 to fit it,£90 to buy and fit the canbus (id never heard of it) and £50 to fit the roof light.

what I am wondering is does anyone have experience of using the F2 then using the F2 plus? whats the difference? I can get a plus and canbus off Ebay for about £330, checked online about the differences between them but it just says something about comm ports? is the F2 fine for connecting to any peripheral you might use? Should I fork out more for the F2 Plus?

I would hate to pay £180 to get the F2 installed then quickly realise I should have got the Plus and have to buy that and pay again to get that installed?

Go with what the fitter suggests.

There is nothing fancy when it comes to meters.

Basically, you press a button to start it, and then another to stop it.
