I was here https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Tev ... 4f19c0a4ca

The system gave me a job here, https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Chu ... 992b79ca0e

I travelled all the way to the job which took me 20 minutes, only to find out the job was here, https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Chu ... 6a487e9ab1

Looks to me like it's a case of having the wrong info in the database or a typo because no modern system would do anything like that.
We've seen much the same thing happen at times but when checked it's generally that someone put the wrong location details on the address.
The navigation then uses that to take you to the wrong pickup point.

Come on Nige, thought you knew your way around.

It's the system Bill, it's done it loads of times before. I know where both Church Streets are the Riddings one and the Shirland one. The customer even gave the telephonist the Postcode which she put into the system and it came up as the Riddings one.

There'll be an answer somewhere in the system and whoever looks after it at the office end should know how to put it right.
We used to get calls asking us why , who or where type questions but every time it was always wrong information in the system or the way it's been setup.
We added a routine that allowed the actual auto dispatch solution to be viewed and this has all-but eliminated the need for postmortem calls.
Any system is only as good as the information it's working with or the way it's been set up and it frustrates the hell out of us at times to see systems running where the users can't be bothered taking the time to get it right.

No mate I went up and checked when I finished my shift, she put the booking in and it came up as Church Street Shirland but it dispatched it as Church Street Riddings.

No because when it came onto the PDA it said Church Street Riddings, they can't see the PDA in the office.
