It's wicked!!!!

Actually it is quite good. A very smooth transfer really. Only a few disgruntled customers and this was because daft drivers accepted jobs they knew they weren't meant to be doing but didn't shout.

Got it running with radios still in local taxis.

Only two negatives, XDA's are jamming up far too much. But we are trying new mapping with them this week. And invoicing not designed in format we want and we have had lots of grief trying to change it.

Another small negative is you can't send a follow on job to the driver before he finishes the current.

Also locked on auto despatch, so you need to be organised with vehicle attributes.

But it does despatch to the closest car in the zone. And it does ensure you don't send a wheelchair car off on another job by mistake (if you pre-allocate them).

Mapping allows us to be far more flexible with exec cars and make more use of them locally.

My remote aerial site was costing 10K a year, we are now back on the roof of the building. Calls to mobile phones are tumbling.

I'm still not convinced that nearest car is such a good thing. I know it should be, but what happens when you have a regular pukka job that comes out the same time?

Will the car in the bloke's garage get it over the one in his drive? :-k

Does the system keep the job for the dropping cab then? Or will it send another cab from miles away even though one could be free within minutes?

But with Cordic you get the choice.

Some zones, with us the small 'in town' busy zones, it goes to 1st in queue. On out of town, bigger zones it goes to nearest car.

As for pulling drivers long distances, I have the back up zones set to only pull inwards not send out. So a car further away from town may get a job on way back but it won't automatically send a guy further away.

If driver requests a follow on job in the zone he is going to it will hold it for him unless another car clears before him in that actual zone. It won't pull a car from 'out of zone'.

With all systems you need to be able to configure it to suit your business.

My previous supplier's system wasn't able to do that for me. However for other businesses it is the perfect choice.

as opposed to evocab where all the cars are put in a hat and the one out first gets the job.

so how much does it actually cost? im very interested in this system looks good i phoned cordic the other week wouldn't give me a price over the phone they said it all depends on what options you chose so i said how about a rough price they said they would send me some info it came today and the only rough price in the info pack is it cost £1 for every 1000 jobs dispatched phoned them back up before and they said i would have to come down to them to disscuss the options and actual costs as they can't do that over the phone and cambridgeshire is such a long way from warrington so im just wondering how much its costing you to run the system on a per car basis otherwise looks like im booking my train ticket to go and see cordic
