You wont be allowed advertising on a PH except the office name.

Thanks for the advice ref advertisments. I thought that was the case! Didnt once taxifast stick a load of stickers in the back windows of their cabs advertising airsouthwest or something? cant remember

Na, it was just a small 12x3 ish window sticker, that's all.

Try the taxi centre or Patons they may help, go to the main page on this site and have a look at the links, you could even try taxi and PH monthly mag they have loads of insurance adds.I thinks its in the links on the main page.

Last year I got my insurance quote through at £2,200 (only 1 year NCB); they were doing me a good deal, or so they said!!!

So, I put all my details that an insurance company would want to insure me on a Word Document, looked through all the trade magazines & papers, emailed 74 insurance companies attaching the Word Document with my details, got 51 replies & paid £1359. There were cheaper quotes but the insurance company was not in the UK and the excess was weird at £135, so I didn't fancy it.

The hardest part is getting all the email addresses into your email contacts, but once you have done that, it's there for all future years.

And that is the way I'm doing it this year, no matter how cheap the renewal quote is, or not!!

They are available on 01482 882 223, not quite sure how you'd fare due to your age...worth ago.

Just renewed mine with Paton's, £495 with 200 excess

Just had three quotes ranging from £750 to £870. The one at £870 said they would throw in £2 Million public liability, legal cover and Roadside assistance, it sounds tempting but I'm not sure if this is a good deal as I am new to the trade. Theres also talk of mirroring my NCB whatever that means?

Transferring your ordinary car insurance NCB to your new taxi insurance.
