Metrocab, the black cab manufacturer, has announced it is to resume production. The Tamworth based company ceased production last year when it went into administration but is starting again after renewed investment from parent company Fraser-Nash. A revised version of the Metrocab taxi will be introduced early next year.

Good luck to them, and I hope they are successful.
The Metrocab was only let down by poor build quality. The design and useability was far better than the TXII. I hope they consult the trade and come up with a really good vehicle.

I wonder if the new one will be a conversion or similar. Maybe they are waiting to see if Ken keeps the turning circle.

I bet Mr Hollandof Jubilee is sweating like a pig, another good cab to rival his inferior plumbers vans. One lad in Mansfield questioned his insurance the other day, he said what value will I get for it if it was in a smash? His broker said what it's worth. All he'll get is van value not Taxi value.

as an expert in everything, its difficult to understand why you drive taxis at £2.60 per hour your figures not mine.

whatever you choose as a future venture please avoid insurance, trade because you are not very good at it and in this case quite wrong.

what his broker meant was he would not get the taxi and plate value or buisness value but vehicle value.
that would be the value for a replacement bearing in mind the age, not the van value.

Mr Holland did Geoff. Going on to the insurance bit, the Fiat is a Scudo, registered as a Fiat Scudo, Insured as a Fiat Scudo. Go to your local Fiat dealers and you can get one of these for just over £10,000. The insurance will only pay out on what the vehicle is worth, it's not worth £20,000 is it Geoff?

if you insure a fiat scudo Jubillee body, and tell them the value on proposal
in the case of a write off they will pay you its value at doa
