Doubt it mate

It would need to be integrated into the Airbag warning light system - big headache.

Don't worry - I done the same thing years ago - bought a car cash, went to City Chambers with PHC application only to be told "sorry, this vehicle isn't on the approved vehicles list"

I had to wait 12 weeks for them to approve it!!

Can you not buy another model from the garage?

Or ask the garage to source you one with the airbags etc

I would have thought in that model and year [52] plate a passenger airbag is fitted as standard, including door airbags and roof airbags, the airbag for front passenger with be directly above the glove box, the letters on it are "SRS" as all airbags are, maybe you got your fare chart stuck on it to which you shouldn't have.

According to the Euroncap site:

The new C-class was launched during October 2000. Standard equipment includes dual-stage frontal airbags for driver and front passenger, thoracic side airbags, head protection airbag (curtain), belt pre-tensioners and load limiters for front and rear outer seats, has three-point centre belt. Brake Assist, ESP and ABS are also fitted.

http://www.euroncap.com/content/safety_ ... 1=3&id2=89

It also says that the 1997 model had a passenger airbag.

Are you saying an air-bag is a council condition? :-k

If that's the case then I take it your manor doesn't license anything from LTI.

For PH at least mate yes.

Along with side impact bars, three point rear seat belts, no heavy window tinting (passengers and driver MUST be visable from the outside at all times) etc etc
