Or, like 'Harringey cars' you could get a nice selection of K / L / M reg Previa's, also a classic London Minicab vehicle.

Well, they've bettered that one.

Enter red N reg Peugeot 309!

Nice. :?

Total outlay to become a minicab driver? about one nights takings in a licensed Taxi.

The same can be said about CAR CRAFT...

I can beat that with a N reg Ford Fiesta also red and can fit an umberella in the boot. When are the licensing fools going to sort out the checks. What next Ford Ka?

I went and bought a lovely Chrysler Neon, air con, leather seats, big old boot, 2L 16Vi auto, only 19K on the clock, X reg. Good value at just over £3k at auction. I needn't have bothered, should have spent about £500 on a old VW Golf Diesel.

One of the big companys up town have two Smart Cars registered as Licensed Minicabs, Premier or someone, their thinking behind it being that nine times out of ten, its a single pin you pick up with no freight in tow.

Now now green badge, you should'nt pick on us poor old mini cab driver's!! Us decent one's have campained for years for licenceing and it is slowlygetting better. But to the point, the best car for the job, there are two way's of doing it, buy a new car and keep it for as long as you can, or spend about £1000 and use it for a year or so and bin it.

Remember this, it's the same fare in a 10 grand car as it is in a £1000 car.

The bodywork is checked by the people who badge the car, but you can be subject to a roadside check, and these people have the powers to take you off the road straight away.

My advice is use the cheapest car you can, the public treat your car's like sh*t!!!!

In the case of the London cab trade it's the same for the £30,000+ car as it is the £1,000.
