God knows mate, I've now got oil starvation to the top of the engine, it sounds like a fuckin strimmer.

And if you mix different types/brands of fluid it can cause all sorts of problems - has to be emptied and flushed through before the right grade put back in. Even if it's just drained and not flushed it can mess up the system.

That's what I told him to do but he didn't do it. He's going to pay for this.

ANY new part in a PAS system is almost certain to require the system to be drained, and filled with fresh fluid, its cheap as chips anyway, then the engine should be run and the steering turned lock to lock several times to bleed it then topped up

even Ed China knows that

The engine is in bits in the garage, it failed this morning and went bang, oil starvation to the top end.

It's all fixed, it was the chain that has slackened off, he's caused the damage because it had a new head gasket fitted last week. We fitted a new chain today and all is good...."touches desk with hand."

And a new chain tensioner right ?
The chains don't stretch, or only by a small amount - they are slack anyway, the tensioner takes up the slack.

The full kit is around £200, the chain by itself about £50.

I spoke to fuckin soon, it's gone down again tonight at 9pm, injectors were pissing diesel out all over the engine. The twatty mechanic had only put silicone on them instead of the steel clips.
