No still going into limp mode. Sometimes I can get 3500miles before it happens and sometimes it will do it only after 850 miles so far this time I'm up to 1600miles. When it happens you don't even have to turn it off just slow down to 5mph then it clear's and your off again till the next time. Bad news when your on the M25 with no hard shoulder as it will struggle to do 50mph when it's in limp mode. NO ONE KNOW WHY

I had the same problem for a number of years, a sort of it works today - today it does not situation, nobody could sort it out!

Only when a valve went, and I was told that it would be cheaper to fit a scrap engine/recon/new engine did it go properly. I had a scrappy fitted due to the age of the cab (2006)....touch wood all fine. I am thinking that the engine in old speak, needs a de-coke! Personally before you change the engine I would try a Terraclean remedy...it is possible that it might just clean it out properly....failing that - an engine change.

I have the Citroen 2.0 HDI Dispatch, pretty much the same as E7, it kept going into limp mode whilst showing a "Anti-Pollution Fault" on the Display. Ended up fiiting a new Turbo and now its running like a sweety again at 186,000 miles.

I would say that your problem was more definitive as it was showing/pointing to a problem! I had no end of computers linked to mine that only worked if you/I replaced the cab bit by bit

Don't think it would be the engine as it runs 100% fine in between going In to limp mode. Independent garage Said he thinks its a problem with the ECU. Said the best thing to do is send it off to be checked. Problem is it can take a week to get it back

You're taking a punt on that mate, the ECU on that might be faulty.

I wouldn't trust a E7 with 150,000 on the clock.

We are now up to 180.000 still goes into limp mode intermittently. No one can find the problem. One garage says it could be ECU and an other says it's the injectors. But no one will commit to one or the other. To much Hassel getting one from a srap yard will have to get it programed to my cars immobiliser and it might have the same intermittent fault. My mate was having the same problem he changed the injectors and his is now upto 240.000 miles
It's a beautiful cab so going to get the injectors do in a few weeks.

Had a long talk to Colchester fuel injection today. By what I have told them. They said it sounds like injectors and that I should start by getting them bench tested. So will be going down that road next. If I had taken it there to start with and not peugeot i might have been about £2000 richer today. You just assume they are the experts in the product they sell

They are experts in telling you what the computer tells them after they plug it into the diagnostics port, and charging you a handsome sum for doing something you could do yourself with kit you can buy for less than £30 !

If the computer doesn't tell them anythings wrong they're then experts in randomly changing parts until they eventually, by chance, change the part that was causing the problem, or you run out of money !
