we have a new night manager who has come to us from a London bus company his name is bill.

he tried to create his own patch on here but the site will have none of it.

i Worked in London, managing the bus,
till retirement came I left without fuss,
and bought in West Yorkshire a lovely pad,
I soon realisted too much time I had.

I saw an advertisement in the evening press,
a job that excited it had an address,
off I went to talk to the boss, call Geoff
very sypathetic as I am partialy deaf

I will give you 20 hours a week he said clear,
oh good I thought it will buy me bear.
so here I am marketing his group,
to bring in the custom and keep out of the soup.

I have dressed the boys in taxis so smart,
they go out and look the part.
every night I work late so sound
and at the end of the week collect a few pound.

This site gives me a thrill,
but cannot get a place for Paddington bill.
so off I go to the site used by the boss
nobody on here minds they dont give a toss.

occasionaly into the night I wander
to find insparation think and gander.

Dont know if this is of any use to the eurocab debate, but one of my mates has a x reg eurocab, he thought it was great until they refused to allow him to trade it in against a new eurocab, they told him he should phone up in a couple of weeks to see in they were accepting that model as a part ex.

We have a eurocab and the warrenty (the non peugeot dealer bit), wasnt worth a carrot, we had to constantly argue with warrenty holdings to get bits fixed.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that if eurocab were that interested in going into london, they'd try to develop a turning circle just to prove that they mean business, or would that just mean them having to invest money into their product.

Non of them (LTI or Eurocab) seem to give a [edited by admin] once you buy it anyway.

I am told its not that easy captain infact a big engineering job, I am suprised your mate cannot get part x

As Wharfy said changing would mean a major investment, and since the market for PB taxis is tiny (how much new vehicles do LTI shove out a year?) compared to mass-produced vehicles, to redevelop the vehicles would probably cost so much that the vehicles would end up costing as much as the LTI.

The cost savings on the Eurocabs are clearly due to the fact that the Mercs and Peugeots are mass-produced vehicles converted into taxis, but not to the extent of the major engineering required to significantly tighten a turning circle.

Let's face it, if there was a big market for taxis with that kind of turning circle, then the big names would wade in and we'd get a better and cheaper product with the requisite turning circle.

But what we've got is a tiny market, thus a near-monopoly for LTI, neither of which is conducive to low pricing or product quality.

Could you mate not try to resale it to a new entrant into our bus.
Ive always found that you are better of, selling your vehicle yourself and asking the dealer for a deal instead of a trade in.
As for the warrenty if they dont honour it then to the small claims you must go. But thgese are the sort of these that we need to sort out before we part with our hard earned cash.
If it doesnt feel right often it isnt.

I dont think the point is that he should sell it privately, the major point, so far as I'm concerned is that they would'nt go so far as to offer him a figure as to a trade in value.

So far as the warrenty goes. the local peugeot dealers will handle anything peugeot related, but the conversion bit causes the problem.

so this is where everybody is nowadays !!!!!!
as i see it, the london trade get an annual rate rise in relation to several factors, one being running costs,so, surely if their all going to by conversions their running costs will fall,thus, rate rises will fall, meaning their total end of the month profit ( dirty word ) will be the same, so no better off.
has anyone seen the new e7 conversion for cab direct, apparently they can sell both hard and soft ice cream.
