Post subject:  E7 "Refresh" Flywheel

So after all the denial from peugeot that there was something wrong with the Dual Mass Flywheel it suddenly seems that Cab Direct are offering a NEW heavy duty dual-mass clutch and flywheel on the current E7

Any ideas what difference this "NEW heavy duty dual-mass clutch and flywheel" has from the old one and if there was nothing wrong with it then why change it.

I have had a judder from starting off in 1st for over 30,000 miles and got absolutely nowhere with the warranty.

On the Fiat version of E7/TW/Citreon old type cabs you can get a blank flywheel.

I think it's an extra £50 or so when you put a new clutch in. Money well spent IMO.

If the DMF is nackered, you usually hear it rattling when the engine is running and you are in neutral.

I swapped the DMF and clutch on my sharan for a solid flywheel kit 20k ago and no problems. Don't know if you can get one for an E7.

That was the point of the original question as to whether the DMF has been replaced with a solid one. Or just a different version of the same thing.

We've sourced a manufacturer in Nottingham who can provide solid mass fly wheels at a greater reduced price than you pay in the shops.

there is a BETTER make of DMF produced by Sachs, the common or garden unit is made by LUK
