two years, 70,000 miles......total cost per mile? with the following in the mix Council charges (£600) RFL (£300) Insurance (£3300) Repairs and service (£2000) Fuel (£9000) Tyres (600) Depreciation (£2500) it comes out at 26p per mile overall |

I reckon to collect in fares between £1.00 to £1.20 for each mile showing on the mileometer but I do only drive part time. Does 70000 miles in 2 years produce an adequate living after expenses? |

Does 70000 miles in 2 years produce an adequate living after expenses? thats LOADED miles, wheras my calcs are for EVERY mile so if jobs dont hook up and i drive to base after each one, that £1 per mile becomes 50p per mile wheras my 26p a mile costs are per every mile, so 50% of the take is spoke for 70,000 miles or 35,000 per year x 24p/mile = £8750 a year......pre tax of course |
