Some diesels pump out less CO2 than petrol cars or, could it be that they've got a glut of petrol on the markets because diesel is a waste product of the refining process?

Germany have no problems with diesel motors, could this be another EU bull story?

it's not about pollution and CO2 cos mine has 110g/km and I pay £20 tax a year it's about some ingredients causing cancer in effect. that's what they found at last. effing turbos, faps, egrs and effing millions of cost of technology to build a dog house now... or something like that. #-o

Its odd the "EU" (note) are spanking the UK over diesels

Most diesels on the road come from the EU countries, so its VW, Audi, Peugeot, Citroen, etc who are to blame!

Maybe its the car builders who should get the fines?

Fcuk the EU, it's time we either left the EU or they go back to being the Common Market that we voted to join. A change from Diesels on this scale will bankrupt companies and the country, Of course that's maybe what the awful slithering bureaucratic underbelly that makes up the EU want's, that way we will become the federal European state they crave.

Only one answer, get out, It's so simple.

I can only think there is a glut of petrol here and some bright spark thought "how can we sell it"

The bunker sites are awash with petrol which they can't get rid of, I reckon this is a bull shizzer story and people are falling for it.

Aye its Odd..the EU say we need a percentage to be from Bio fuel yet the Bio fuel is grown on ground better served to be growing food for the Billions of starving.

Just what do they want? a Clean planet with not enough food or a slightly shop soiled planet with slightly more food...feck sake, make their minds up!

Think back a few years

Rapeseed was going to REPLACE diesel, then we got Hdi/Common rail engines that couldnt take more than 5% bio

Paris is more prone to smog than other European capitals because France subsidises the cost of diesel and because Parisians own more private cars than in comparable cities, such as London.

So much for EU fair trade....France subsidises diesel!

Are there many Africans left in Africa? I thought they were either all here or heading here, They'll all be Afro-European by now and coming to a food bank near :-$ .
