CabDirect, Auris hybrid tourer - £70 per week, but will halve your fuel bill.

No road tax, no starter motor, no alternator, no drive belts, no steering pump, no high pressure fuel pump, no clutch or DMF - browsing the owners forum there never seems to be anything fails on them ! Change the oil and filter every 10k and thats about it. Only downside is you have to use Toyota oil at £80 for 5 litres for the warranty.

Even the MAJOR service just lists oil, filter, air filter and pollen filter and a few minor items (still want £280 for it though   )

I don't think our Council allow them, they're to small I think. What cc engine is in them?

We have the diesel Auris Tourer and it has a 1364cc engine.

The big cars (Merc/BMW.ect) are great cars but repairs bills are huge....so make sure you get top dollar for the work....price up tyres for a Merc for instance...

a chap here has a 5 series BMW "M" on a special events plate (smallest our LA does and no sticky door signs) only does "concierge" type work, books theatre tickets for barristers and drives them to London stuff....no school runs or drunks

Could do with a bit more leg room in the back, it has slightly less than a mondeo. Gets 4 passengers plus luggage in though - what more do you need  ? So far not had anyone struggle to get in or out, or complain about the legroom.
Does the job I want it to, I'm happy.
