You won't be able to carry 4 plus a wheelchair in any other than a E7 or a LTI cab.

Yeah, that's right. School runs that pay enough not to do anything else are ten a penny these days.

The one I've got pays really well. An hour in a morning £45 then an hour in the afternoon another £45.

That's not a bad run, but could you live on that alone ? Take out all your expenses and 12 weeks school holidays and I doubt you could. I cover similar runs for the 'uni' from Nov to June, it's decent money and what I earn on the ranks in between covers the expenses.

I drop onto the rank when I've done my school to cover my expenses, from 9-3pm I might take £60, add that to my school job £90 and it's £150 a day minus fuel of £19=£131 a day.

Mine is £90/car + £40/assistant (wife) and I stay local to the school, driving back/renting a PDA wasnt viable, so I save fuel/miles

HOWEVER, im on the framework, next opening is 2019, so if I was a newbie I wouldnt be buying a WAV in the hope of getting a monster school run

i am registered with the council mate & already do a school run in a mini bus, 6 kids but its not my bus so im contracting, as for the "ten a penny" quote i suppose it all depends on what you need to live on , also adult runs are all year so it wont matter ( the summer holidays just gone i worked on a adult run for 4 of the 6 weeks) , im not bothered about waiting i would just simply buy a hack, stay at the office i am at until i get a contract then hand in the plotter, do a school run mon-fri & that's it, if i needed any extra i would just hack, i know a lt of the hack lads by doing school runs for a couple of years so any help would not be a problem , i know it sounds daft that i want a hack so i don't have to taxi anymore  but i hate this job so much

Confused...

YOUR registered with County Council but dont use your own vehicle? We have to provide own Insurances to keep working on school runs, hows does yours work?

You dont need a hack plate to have a WAV, a PHV will do

ask your doctor first then ask yourself why you force yourself to to what you hate to do and then tell us what diagnosis is...
