1stly nice forum, from what ive read here its all interesting usefull stuff.

At the mo im driving nights round the lancashire area driving a transit diesel minibus for someone, all is well and although im starting a new career sometime early this year (2007) im thinking of investing myself and getting a driver or 2.

The questions are all the usual i guess.

Can any bus type 8 seater be reccomended? on a budget of 4k max

im guessing diesel is they way to go, lpg sounds painfull?

These toyota's previa's and the like seem cheap on an import?

who is good for insurance?

any other newbie help welcomed

I think if you are going to have two drivers on a vehicle, then you might need to revise your budget. :?

I think the insurance company might want a huge chunk of that 4k.

Like all of it.

I suggest you ring around the local cab firms and see if anyone getting rid of their motor.

Maybe just then your four grand might get something.

Try one of the big leasing companied that supply the Police.

The Met's supplier (Lex ?) recently got rid of about 30 Mercedes sprinters (Blue roof lights and all!), they had only covered about 60'000, and were going for a few grand each.

I'm sure theres a few websites dealing in retired Police van's and car's that may prove fruitful.

Your profile was set to not receive an e-mail when someone replied to this thread.

It does now, so you should have received one concerning this.

Steer clear of those imported Previas they are prone to blowing head gaskets and Toyota main dealers are not interested in imports
