We have a fleet of Doblos, for £8000 you can't go wrong. Low maintenance and easy to work on. Keep it for a year,then buy your next one.

And that little witty was posting 5555.

Do the rest of you look out for those moments when your car speedo runs up a great number. One of our guys drove round town twice last week so he could finish shift on 123456 miles.

Well he had done about 90K of them so the extra three miles were allowed. :lol:

Our Local Authority set the fares as in most places. The passenger in a Doblo pays the same as the one who travels ina Merc. I'm not saying I would drive the car myself for personal use, but at the end of the day it's a tool. Do your sums!!

(ahha thats your strategy tom? stop the taxis doing costly outer district fares for a bit more so they have to drive doblos? so you can run em off with Mercs?

Most customers don't even notice the colour of the vehicle let alone the make or model. I have used various saloons, including Mercs, Metrocabs, Eurocabs, E7, Merc Vito, TX1 they all have good and bad points as vehicles and depending what you use them for. There is nothing on the market that I could recommend 100%, in any price range.

Regarding the Doblos,this car has not been tried and tested,yet,in
the taxi trade.
I can only speak about the Doblo Freedom WAV,that I have run,single shifted for the past six months.
Adapted to my spec it does the job,as 99% of my work is wheelchairs.
However I thik it may be a bit soft for double shifting.

On a wet Friday or Saturday night, the drunks,pukers,dick heads,slappers dont look at what vehicle they get in or how they treat or respect them as long as they get home even through in a bit of abuse for good measure, so why do we worry about spending small fortunes on getting good vehicles ?, why indeed, a tranny van with wood seats would be good enough for most of them, give me "selective customer options" every time, or being a PH driver to you.

Couldn't have said it better myself, a s****y cattle truck is too good for some of the a******** we have to pick up :evil: :evil: :evil:
