Is there any problems with the Peugeot 406 hdi to look out for, as there is one for sale for 5.5k with 26k on the clock on an 03 plate, and what sort of miles per gallon |

I think the Peugeot is one of the better diesel engines. |

I used to get around 36MPG around town and 48MPG on long runs with the 2.0/90bh HDi. Good work horses, I know some still going at 300k+. As they are "Lardy" cars the only thing I can say is to look out for faulty Suspension, Anti Roll Bars etc. if buying Used. Besides that, I cant fault them. I've now upgraded to a 407 2.0/136bh HDi. Very impressed with the comfort, safety, bigger boot space and 58MPG in 6th at 70MPH!! |
