Can't believe this to be true, but the mush who told me doesn't ever fib.

He says for his TX1 or 2 (not sure) he only gets 150 miles for £35 of fuel.

FFS.

Sounds about right to me although if a manual maybe a bit heavy.

I drive easy and I'd get about 165ish out of my Auto fairway for that money.

So even for the most sensible of drivers it's costing them 53p a mile just in fuel.

FFS.

Now you see why the turning circle is so important. They couldn't afford to be doing 3 point turns

I used to get around 25-28 mpg out of the metrocab. Only one of the reasons I hated it.

My mate gets about 25mpg from his tx, about right I would say working in an auto in town.
I know a driver that works a tx manual in essex and gets about 30mpg round town and about 35-40mpg on a run.
It all depends on how you drive, ive got a 1.8 petrol mondeo that does about 35 mpg round town and 45mpg on a run, another driver on my firm has exactly the same car and gets about 25mpg round town, but he's a maniac driver!!!.

One way of sorting it, and getting rid of the turning circle issue.
