This is one of the worst councils for WAVs, in relation to saloons, and yet they still try their damdest to stop someone licensing a WAV. 
The Fiat things may not be perfect, but ask WAV customers if they would rather have a Fiat in minutes, or f*** all for hours? |

The Fiat things may not be perfect, but ask WAV customers if they would rather have a Fiat in minutes, or f*** all for hours? every one of the conditions can be overcome, even though there were 16 reasons for rejection, they missed a dozen like when carrying a wheelchair passenger there is no luggage space scraping the barrel on 3 no first aid kit no fire extinguisher, a 5 minute problem the hypocracy came on the seperation of the driver, most Leeds taxis dont seperate the driver and certainly not all WAVs like the ford galixy they have. the applicant can go away and sort this out. |

Please explain why a number of councils will license it when not taking wheel-chairs, but shy away from it when they do. Councils throughout the UK are crying out for more WAVs, but when someone wants to license a cheaper type, councils say no. Perhaps the answer is to get councils to buy all the WAVs, then if they wantb one that costs £50,000, then let them go and buy it. But I bet they don't. |

Mr Angry no dont get angry, your dublo might have been supplied by a top converter. I have seen some appauling conversions. we might not be comparing like with like here mr Angry. as I said every reason can be overcome this is not the end of the dublo in Leeds. |

Mr Angry What about the rear loading of wheelchairs???? YOu might as well park in the middle of the road and load them up. |

You can't load both sides in either of the vehicles, you have to load from the nearside because in the TX2's and van conversions the ramps will only fit to the nearside, in the Cab Direct vehicles you have the drivers pod obstructing the offside. |

Surely it doesnt matter in they go in via the room I think is his point. But once in the vehicle they should be strapped in in the right way. |
