Hey Guys,

My friend has a TXII (52 plate) that seems to have an immobiliser problem...

He stops on the rank; switches off (sometimes he leaves the key in, sometimes he doesn't) when he tries to start, the engine spins but won't fire up.

Sometimes he gets over this by removing the key; stepping out the of cab; shutting the door; using the remote to lock and unlock the doors; and then starting the cab. But sometimes this doesn't work. One one occasion he messed about like this for 30 minutes or so before it started!

Please help.

Check for a sticking fuel pump relay.

Hey gusmac,

Thanks for the advice. I swapped his with mine to see if this is the problem... Mine starts every time; and his has so far too! So maybe just the disturbance was enough! Not surprising, as I had a problem with a front window only going down not up... I swapped the relays over and it's been fine since!

Ironically... The same mate had probs with his windows a while back, till I told him to swap the relays! Maybe it's the MASIE board that plays up!!!
