New front discs+pads DIY fit (mintex) £45 Oil and filter (ATS) with magnatec oil - £39 Air filter £3 Fuel filter (Bosch Tdci) £9 I wonder what a garage would charge to supply and fit.... |

I'd say 2 hours @ £90 per hour plus they'll add a bit on top of the parts so they'll charge you the thick end of £130 for your parts then the labour on top it all comes to £310. You did it yourself for £96. |

i know i was quoted £170 to supply and fit the front discs+pads and thats with no guarantee of quality when my DIY job will be Mintex |

45 minutes each side!!! How many cups of tea did you have whilst doing the job. You should be able to do the whole job in less than an hour. |

out of interest what are you driving, i pay around that for genuine vauxhall discs and pads for the front of my vectra 150. do you have a decent trade supplier of your parts if not, shop around, if something from the vag family try tps(trade parts specialists(parts of VW group) or go for one of the trade clud schemes from the others oersonal preference for me is genuine parts and tbh they tend to come in no dearer than factors stuff |
