This has to be a concern for every driver in the Country it is certainly one of my top concerns. Our police are using mobile metal detectors at the doors of pubs and clubs but its just so they can be seen to be doing something without having to actually do anything. Metal detectors should in place permantly if they were that concerned and really wanted to do something about it. Perhaps we should ask for grants to have cctv placed in our vehicles. It won't eliminate all incidents but at least there is a chance of the criminals being caught so they can have their wrists slapped.

I suppose that's one of the benefits of paying bundles for a TX/E7 etc.

But the biggest deterrent, IMO, is to bang up anyone found with a knife, without reasonable excuse, for 5 years minimum.
