We're not a Union MrA, we're an association.

The LTDA has over 8200 members at the last count, the TGWU has about 1000 and the young pretender (20% pay rise awarded) has about 900 lemmings, so I make that about 15'000 drivers who need the £16 every month more than we do.

If Bob Oddie has a conflict of interest, I'm sure he's intelligent enough to make that decision himself.

Perhaps I should run for Chair?

As GBC has said...the LTDA isnt a union and why should he listen to people who dont subscribe? Is the bloke supposed to be some modern day cersion of Jesus Christ....like me?

Typical effing cab trade...cry out for years about representation then cry about the person selected.

And if GBH is to be believed the membership is going up about 200 members a week ( yeh right).

As independent Licensed Taxi drivers it is our right to belong to (or not as the case may be) any association or Union we choose. It should not be a civil war .
If you are going to put someone on the board of TFL he must represent the whole of the cab Trade not just the Happy wanderers from Harrow roads Alton towers co oprative.

It's an interesting point but is there any one person who could represent the whole cab trade?

I know for certain that no one person represents the PH trade, although one person does pretend too.

If I voted for him,we would never get a meter increase for fear of customers feeling they were being ripped off.
He is so concerned about extra`s,but he charges them I bet.Do you think he worries about the poor customers his beloved addison lee or premier pick up illegally,charging £30 from smiths to brixton at 2 oclock in the morning? Probably not.
Bet he don`t try to get on the smithfield rank at that time of the morning,he is to busy counting the punters at victoria.

I said we had in excess of 8200 members, give them a call I'm sure any of the officials will give you an exact figure.

You're quite correct in that you don't have to be a member of any trade body, but for not being a member you seem to spend half your life being concerned at whats happening at the LTDA. Don't worry about it, it does'nt concern you, it concerns those 8200 drivers who chose to become members.

Mind that 10pm booking.

But Thom was Mr Anderson on the other forum but didn't like being him so he changed it to Thomas the Taxi, has a certain ring to it .
Now the nutter or Rover as we call him down the Oak, is the one with the split personality. In fact Thomas wont talk to him, or him. Do you remember on the other forum when he got banned he came back as Tossa bob and tried very hard to get the whole forum shut down.
I never got to make a post on that forum, shame cause I had a great monica, which I'm going to save just in case it gets up and running again.
Now I see he's having a go to you .
Although I think you beat him hands down and he is now trying to woo you with a bit of BS, believe me I know the signs.
Don't hold your breath waiting for an answer he's waffling now.
I tried to ignore him with his stupid jibes but I feel obliged to talk to anyone, I'm not a snob.
