Perhaps they didn't want to test the will of the court because if they had and were found guilty then I think they were looking at possible revocation.

I don't think anyone's political views should have an influence on their fitness to be licensed unless they are so radical it involves commiting suicide with POB.

It was only the other year myself and Captain Cab were apparently BNP members if a certain clown from the GMB were to be believed.

But that's why he's been gagged by the Unions hierarchy. :-#

Thats right....and I remember my good old catholic mate Ged was accused of being in the Orange Lodge

Mind you, by your own admission you did have years of free time to put to good use & good use you did put it to!

I think most people know this fact. After all it was explained at the time of Prince Harry's birth. He is named Henry.

i think membership of the BNP should be mandatory.....lol

anyway, whats a drivers political views/standpoint got to do with him driving a bloody cab?

I wonder why u say that eh ?? Lets put it like this and this is comng from somebody who happens to be asian himself.

If myself or any member of my family is taking a cab to wherever, i couldnt give a monkeys if the driver is a bnp follower, activist, member or if hes giving it up the backside to mr Griffin himself.

So long as his political views, ideaology etc are kept to himself, and he doesnt make me feel hes being ``racist`. I use that word because in recent years the bnp`s real agenda has always been about colour, not a persons actions, his or her job, housing but first and foremost about colour. So in this respect i can understand why someone would be refused a licence due to being a bnp member. The same can also be said for muslim extremist views, if any person openly spouts extremist views he // she also should be refused a licence if his behaviour / words / opinions etc would or has offended any passenger.
