Any suggestions as to a suitable wav for private hire but council policy says it must be side loading.

Why do you want a WAV for PH????
There are many on the market the peugeot euro bus for instance about 7K cheaper than the cab version

I like the VW, but unlike many of my colleagues don't like the bigger version.

I have heard loads of problems re clutches on Doblos and also very costly - any truth?

Dont know, I personally dislike them....we hired one in Spain once for ferrying 4 of us around with golf clubs etc.....couldnt fault it and decent on fuel (and I dont like saying that).

That being the case his LA are out of order requiring a side loader.
As you say he should challenge it as an unreasonable condition.

He could also license it with another LA :wink:
