I dread to think what kind of bill Mr Sneddon wil be lumbered with should he lose?

I think it will be considerably higher than the four grand charles got lumbered with.

Regards

JD

What you are forgetting is that the first battle in the sheriff court was won by Mr. Sneddon so don't be surprised if the High Court also goes in Mr Sneddon's favour.

For sneddon to win..the Lord has to rule against the DDA....can't see it !

The one thing I will guarantee you, you will not second guess what the outcome of a high court case, anything might happen but we will just have to wait with bated breath to get our answer.

Not true. The DDA re taxis has not been implemented yet. What we have seen so far is local councils attempting, in a piecemeal fashion, to introduce wheelchair accessability rules.

The crux of this case is who has the power to stipulate which vehicles can or cannot be a taxi.
If Sneddon wins, the Scottish Executive can still use their powers under the 1982 act. Just as they did for guide dogs etc.

The case went ahead as scheduled on the 19th, or so I'm told.

Nearly two years to day when Mrs Salteri's persuasive argument defeated Edinburgh councils eminent QC for the second time.
