It has been like this at Birmingham airport for ages. I would think that it wont be to long before ALL airport do this. It is a fantastic source of revenue. Just think how much BAA would make at Heathrow!

All that's going to happen is people will get out on the roundabout before you enter the drop off zone, or drive into the Bus Station area to avoid it.

Chaos begins.

add it to your quotes, i build it in, unless they want the free dropoff and a little bus from the carpark, or swallow it

look at manchester, free dropoff? £2.50 min to pickup up, so thats £1.25 each trip average, if i cant stand that out a £80-£90 fare im in the wrong trade

well not only are they the MOST expensive short stay in the UK but they are becoming very unpopular with the punters as well charging for trolleys £1 a time and by the way since when were they the first to charge to drop off ( according to the news) Brumingham airport has been doing it for nearly 2 years

Well they obviously aint too fussed round your way but round here even £1 difference in the price is guaranteed to lose you the job most airport customers have phoned about 6 other companies comparing prices before booking unless you quote the least they won't book

I don't understand the fuss. Whatever it costs to enter the airport just add to the fare :D

Aberdeen council refused to allow a similar charge to be included on the tariff card. Not sure you can legally pass it on otherwise.
