Are the 100s of drivers, who have received 'free' plates, willing to give them back to the council? :?

They are way off the mark on a number of points.

40K for plates! at the very most back about 3/4years ago we are talking about 22K and today some go for around 12k, god only knows why when you can get them for free with the right vehicle.

Re unmet demand there is "None" save big concerts/rugby matches, on those days you could probably do with another 100 cabs until about 3.00am and even then we would be sucking our thumbs so to speak.

Sunday to Thursday there are queues all around the City, and for that matter Friday is not much different. Saturday night is not that vibrant, with many people not waiting at all for longer than 5 mins - as to where they get that nonsense from, that there is unmet demand I just do not know.

Your bang on the money there mate, the Councils will do anything to get the streets cleared ASAP at weekends. Night busses are going to be the norm around the country.

Well at least you can't say that about Dundee City Council - they've made the brief so hard nobody can pass it :D

I wish you would make up your mind, on the Scottish section you are congratulating a more vigorous test but on this section you decry it :? :? :?

No really sure how you come to that conclusion. I think you could either interpret what I said as showing I was pleased that no one could pass or that I was having a wee joke.

But since you read my other post then you'll have seen what I said about making it more difficult and why not many seem to be passing it at the moment, but am I really going to seriously support a test that no one will ever pass?
