Dundee taxi Association is calling for its members to object to the council splitting one of Dundee's busiest ranks into two.The rank in lochee high st is to be split into two, a 4 spaces rank at the top end of the high st outside the post office and 3 space rank at the bottom side.The DTA are unhappy about the number of spaces especially as there is to be a large number of loading bay spaces.. The council have asked for anyone who objects to email caroline.robertson@dundeecity.gov.uk .

Is this split as in a 4 car rank and a 3 car feeder rank, or 2 seperate ranks both with a 1st car, 2nd car etc. How can that work? Who'd pass the lower rank to go to the top rank to see if there's a space?

lochee high st is to be made one way and will have 2 separate ranks.What is really annoying is there was a meeting with the head of the roads department not so long ago to discus making more rank spaces and they said that the lochee rank would stay the same.They have again shown a total disregard to what the taxi trade have said.
