I read in the Tele that 203020 have finally gotten a few wheelchair friendly TX2s.

But can someone solve a riddle for me?

Not long after they started they applied for 70 yellow plates for saloon cars.

A few weeks ago they said that saloon cars were discredited.

Now they're saying that that they'll keep a mixed fleet because of airport runs etc.

Answers on a postcard to The Eagle Mill, Victoria Street.

Changing the goalposts, has always been this companys forte.
You will probably find that they end up with 20-30 TX,s and the rest private hire saloons and a few private operators.
Rumours that they were going bust ever since they started 2-3 years ago,is absolutely rubbish and they will be here a long time.
Think they could buy into one of the few companies left in Dundee,s taxi
trade,if they cannot expand on their own merit.

The appeal of the first appeal was appealled,so this appeal was again put back,so the appeal will be heard soon, unless that appeal,is appealled.?

Didn't they try to buy Handy's/Teles a couple of years ago? But it seemed that it wouldn't be sold however much was offered.

But you're a cynic paul, 203020 moving the goalposts? Never

But you're no doubt right about the numbers - the chance of them having 100 TX2s is pie in the sky, particularly if they're having a mixed fleet. It's said that currently they only have half the vehicles they started with (you hardly ever see the white Merc Vitos, for example) and they can't even get drivers for them judging by the recent '6 nights for yourself, one night for the office' deal offered in the Tele. Next they'll be asking drivers to work on their nights off :D

Ha ha, nice one Mr Gull, took me a while to get that one #-o

But I think the Eagle Mill roof was leaking pretty badly before they moved in, so I doubt if a leaky taxi will be much of a worry.

On the other hand, maybe the leaky Eagle Mill roof was the reason for 203020's famous umbrellas

Dundonian,where are you based?Dah
They have no Mini buses left, they were sold off a few months ago.
The company have a few private individuals that are doing their w/c work and I believe 505050 are helping them with their hospital work?
The umbrellas are there to cover their heads, when the sh-t hits the fan.
The five vehicles, sorry four as one has been bought by a driver, will take the place of the hired plates that they have,Duncan,Alexander and Couttsx2.
The other 20 ???????????????????????????????

Not in Dundee - I just have a holiday home there

Interesting what you say about the plates for the TXs. If they're that desperate for saloon yellow plates then why would they put TXs on the saloon yellow plates that they've got.

The could have any amount of new yellow plates for the TXs and keep the saloon yellow plates.
