The minutes of the 15th of October.

http://www.londoncouncils.gov.uk/commit ... items=3775

The minutes of last Thursday the 10th should be interesting, that's when the Minicab delegation attended.

Plenty of time for us to send a delegation to point out the error of their ways, looks like Bromley would be a good place to start.

But what more would we expect from Colin Smith?

Perhaps London drivers may wish to E-Mail Councillor Smith, who is the LB of Bromley Transport Committee representative, and express there views on any Bus Lane trial for the little people.

After all, it's only the L.B of Bromley who seems to agree with George Walker and co.

Shall I hold my breath for the reply?

Taxi Driver convictions? You'd be better off looking in your own back yard for that bud, though I fear you would loose count after the first 30 pages.

My apologies for the earlier Sutton / Bromley councillors mix up, too many Colins.

Now amended.

The Bromley FOI request in more detail.

I note they're the only council who consider 'Dial a ride' as a Bus Lane user? :?

Looks like something has miffed you.

I thought it would be a common occurrence the PH trade lobbying that committee. :?

Not at all Sussex, but I'm a great believer in anything that may affect our trade in London being put out in the open.

I'm mearly posting information which is freely available in the public domain.

Apparantly a few bods from the RMT were not aware of the above . . now they are.

As Don says, 'Powder Dry'

I'm just adding some dampness.

You realy should try tenner lady

I think whats needed is a clear set of rules down there for the PH
Only new vehicles can be licenced at first application (to stop johnny foreigner from getting a nice looking car from the scrappy)
Then they must be removed from the road by 7 years.
They must speak English, be able to count and do a DSA driving test, and a general knowledge test of the main routes
Keep them out of bus lanes :D

The big companies like Addison Lee do have reasonable standards if I were to be honest, their vehicles are all new, their drivers have to speak in English, wear smart clothes and do a basic topographical test.

But the 'big' companies only account for about 5000 drivers, the rest of the 49000 are the shambles brigade, the doorway offices, the guys who just tout with no office, the N reg rusty Astra's etc.

And they're the ones that will keep our reasoning strong.

I fully support such aims, but do you need to do umpteen posts on the same thing? :?

That's the problem with the information highway, you just keep finding more and more as you go along.

Besides, I don't post pictures, so my total posts can't take up much more than two of Wannabee's may pictures.

I consider myself a 'green' poster.
