Bought a Taxi company recently, Plenty of work, Lots of account work, Shifts available weekends but unable to attract drivers,
Any reason why ??
Located just outside of Chester but in Flintshire so they need to be flintshire badged..
Why does no one want to earn a bit extra these days ??

Is the license easy or hard to get?

part time drivers just don't exist these days with very few people willing to give up their social lives and full time drivers usually only want monday to friday unless they are from overseas.

It's not like that here. The drivers work lots of shifts and long hours inc weekend nights.

Place ads where they do their knowledge test (if they do). The other thing is perhaps they're not looking to earn a bit extra but are looking to earn a full time income, is that possible with the work you have and if it is you should say so, so they know it's not just a pocket money job so to speak

I require Jockeys or owner drivers, I am fed up knocking work back due to lack of drivers ! Trying to build the business up as there seems to be plenty people around this area that use taxis from Chester  ,
we average 350 jobs per week at present but must knock back at least another 100,

Anyone interested in buying a taxi business with huge potential ??

I reckon, say, 3/4 cars could handle that work. How many do you have? Are they your cars with drivers or are they owner/drivers?

If you can be a bit more forthcoming with the info, folks on here can give you some opinions.

I am averaging 350 to 400 jobs per week, but that's just me doing them,
The land-line is diverted to the mobile so never miss a call
To make it viable your going to need at least 800 jobs a week but that's only 2 cars worth
Any family member interested???

He obviously has very good time management skills. I wonder if the tax man and the VAT man ever look in on here? With that amount of work he had better be VAT registered.
