Taxi Driver Badly Beaten In Attack

A taxi driver has suffered two black eyes and a broken nose after a passenger attacked him.
Police said the assault took place on Monday at around 11.30pm after the driver picked up a couple from the Railway Tavern in Gravesend and took them to Kent Close in Paddock Wood.
At the destination, the man got into the front of the car and demanded that the driver hand over his car keys.
When the taxi driver refused the man, who is described as 5ft 9ins and in his late teen to mid 20s, assaulted him leaving his face heavily bruised.
Police have appealed for information about the couple, who are both white. The man was wearing a light blue t-shirt and the woman, who is described as a similar age, had dark hair tied in a ponytail and was wearing dark coloured trousers or tracksuit bottoms.
Officers have been carrying out forensic tests on the vehicle and looking at CCTV footage.
