When I was issued my plate it was de-restriction. What I sold was a job. Plates are not for sale, or haven't you heard. If you have any doubt you could always ask the council if you don't believe me.

Of course this will form part of the case at the forthcoming appeals.

It is part of the council's actions which has deliberately created a system of discrimination.

Does anyone doubt that the council doesn't give a toss about plate ownership. Would they be delighted if the court decided it was illegal and the council got off the hook in the event that owners seek redress for losing their false plate value.

Anyone doubt the council knows precisely what it is doing here - protecting tax payers

Anyone doubt that owners are being hung out to dry here

They are just two idiots that want to cause damage to the Edinburgh taxi trade, and bizzarly their own livlihood.

There is no point trying to explain that their thoughts on restricted numbers are wrong,
Because they already know they are.

They live in hope that someone will notice their rubbish and some damage can be done.

That is their purpose in life.

They have made that quite clear to everyone.

Fortunately they have been spouting this rubbish for so long now that no-one that matters takes any notice of them anymore.

Bizarrely hurting my own trade Frank? R u nuts?

What I'm fighting for is just what every other maket sector already enjoys. Which three quarters of councils already practise.

We're simply asking for parity.

We're also trying to protect the trade by ensuring that any growth in the market brings strength to the trade. And that strength will return real influence over maters like pricing.

With the market shifting to PH which can readily expand to meet it, restriction is weakening the trade, forcing companies to do extraordinary and futile things in response.

You need to both wake up and grow up Frank. Your stupidity is dragging us all down.

Try opening your eyes, then your mind.

Yes, trying to destroy your own livlihood. If I had the time I would cut and paste some posts from www.thetaxiforum.com before you were kicked off, where you say just that and how you relish the idea of taxi drivers suffering.
But now you are snuggling up to Edinburgh city private hire, no doubt with a view to the future.

You do TRY to appear more thoughful on this site, although not successfully. Maybe you dont want to get chucked of here too, so you are holding back on the rants and threats here.

i think thats more to do with things being on a more equal footing here frank.
on fasties it run and posted on by a small number of restrictionist who all know each other and who censor matters that are not seen to be in there interests.

as you will probably know fasties has now descended into a rant about who can sit on a public road on the east of princess street.
now that the real posters have been removed.

btw frank i take it we know one and other, funny that all those years ago when i worked the airport as p190 you still remember.

fun days indeed :D unfortunately today, we have a crowd of new drivers who seem to be pre-programed by the companies.

there are very few real cabbies left.

power to the people

We certainly do,
I like to remain anonamous, but just for you,
I was in the other obvious taxi back then.
you know the one.

I just think there are better ways of the licencing system being fairer than derestriction.
EG plates in the names of individuals and not companies, and no-one can have more than one plate.

As for radio companies they just offer a service to taxi drivers and are paid for that service. There is no need for any loyalty let alone the fan club attitude some drivers have.

If you checked out the other site you will see I still cant let that airport stuff go! lol

ive not twigged yet

but it doesn't matter anyhow as i just think people give each other that little bit more respect if you know there is a real person behind the name.

without the person there is just the argument and most of the guys over there have no idea how to further an argument without going to the extremes of calling ppl who have revealed themselves for whatever reason pedos and the likes.

take private Reggie for example i think his views are madness but i have no bad feelings for the guy either way.

I thought that clue would have been enough, Ali.

Think pink and blue.

Have you got it yet ?

I like anonimity, it does not get personal that way.
