I would be interested to know if any councils allow the Peugeot Premier from cab direct to be licensed as a wheelchair accessible taxis. The vehicle has European whole type approval and is rear loading. Dundee city council are to discuss whether to allow the vehicle on the road at a meeting on the 27th May.

Where the Premier™ excels is in its versatility. It makes superb use of space with numerous handy storage areas and the cargo load carrying is second to none thanks to Premier's new FlexiFold™ ramp which folds flat to the floor, allowing you to make full use of the large luggage area.

Have you seen the ramp attached to the back of the Pug?? If you get anyone over 15 stone in a wheelchair you'll need to be Geoff Capes to push them up the ramps.

lichfield dont allow TIPPING+FOLDING seats but did allow my tourneo which had a seat back that tipped forward, though there was a gap without doing it, to turn the middle row round woulda cost £500 + VOSA check

again, why no nationwide policy (and prices) from LAs

its still ironic that after design and development, crash testing and type approval costing millions along comes some desk-jockey who declares the vehicle unfit for use

(then plates a tuktuk or rickshaw)
