I can't pack up yet because some kind person has bought me 4,000 Benson and Hedges back from Spain.

Thats illegal!

No it's not it's only 20 packets. 2 people went abroad and bought me them back so that's 10 sticks each
The Goverment say there's a limit but as long as they are the same brand you can fill your boots.
They will do me until next year.

That was a very generous gift from them. If you paid for them it is illegal. They can't be sold. They are for personal use.
I gave them the money to get them for me, no profit was made so nothin illegal was done.

I think customs would say otherwise.
Jesus where is this going??
If you holiday in any EU country each person can bring back 3200 ciggies each x 2 people = 6400 ciggies 32 cartons. They could have bought back as many as they wanted as long as they were for personal use.
Last year when I went abroad I bought 10,000 Bensons back and my missus bought 6kg of rolling tobacco through, yes we got pulled. All they asked was, is it for personal use? Of course I smoke Bensons and the missus smokes roll ups (she doesn't snoke) but that's what I told them.
When we got back round here the tobacco went like wildfire (paid for the holiday)
Come on Grandad get off the PC stage. If you went abroad in your car would you fill up in Luxembourg @ 70p per litre or wait until you got to Dover and pay £1.25 a litre?? You'd brim it at 70p per litre in Luxembourg and run round the UK on cheap fuel.
Bringing ciggies in is the same.
