quietest Saturday night, my quietest New year's night, in 15 years. It was as dead as a dead thing out there. No clubs, few pubs and not many house parties all contributed. Add to the mix an Old Infirm game at lunchtime today, and voilà p!sh poor takings. That was with less than 50% of the usual number of cars on the road, as well.

Never mind it's good training for January, lol

How was yours?

Same hear got fed up yesterday and went home and had my new year with wife and kids.I made a quality party Suzy and had a few tins and a couple of drams

My new years resolution is not to get to down on what is happening to the trade and try to be positive . I have at least another 23 years doing this Job so will just have to get on with it :D

I have had the best new year ever, Fri and Sat extremely busy, yet some of the cabs hardly moved??
I kept an eye on who was waiting to get to our main rank outside the tesco staff car park and by the time they had got to number 2 on the rank I had done 15 hires so they had only moved 16 spaces.
We are still on fare and a half today so expecting another good day.
If you where on double time or more and if you where quiet that could have been the problem,
Best run so far £48.80 with a £41.20 tip, plus 1 new customer, the woman was impressed that I knew a much shorter rout that no other taxi company takes as they always take her an extra 6 miles

Waste of time round here as usual. NYE is not worth it anymore, since the millennium when the pubs and clubs were charging £50-£100 entry fee it's been dead as anything.

People stayed local 11 years ago and enjoyed it and they've continued to stay local ever since.

Only just got halfway to 3 figures!! Normally, pushing 3c for same hours.

But, I was expecting it and managed to listen to War of the Worlds two and a half times!! :D
