Hi,

Party in our local village hall. - Lots of people being kicked out wanting taxis to the same area of the village.

The organisor has asked if she can book my minibus ( which is private hire plate) to do multiple runs for the party goers.

Now i have her name as the booking - BUT - i dont have the details of who i will be taking and how many i will be taking (could be ten runs of 8 people for example) - I was thining of charging £2 per person to do the run.

So is this legal as a private hire operator / private hire minibus ?

All you need is the name of the person booking the vehicles, and put the destination down as various.

Perfectly legal, and you can charge what you like.

Happens in York every weekend, whoever rings up this certain firm the operator says just go to the car and tell them your name is green or on another night it might be blue so the punter approaches a waiting car says " are you for Green" and in they get simples
