The police supported re-regulation.....due to the serious problems the number of taxis had created.
You failed to mention the 21 drivers in Ashfield who lost their jobs for one month because their council couldn't cope with the effects of too many taxis.
Anyone might think that someone like Madjim who has by his own admission driven a cab for 23 years and didn't actually say he owned one at some point.....which may not be the case......could be kind of viewed as a bit of a f*cking disaster area.......23 years in a job without promotion???? ffs his kids must be proud.
Madjim's letter didn't mention many things........and those things were noted.

Council's go through periods of restriction and de-restriction. It's nothing new. Remember Dublin CC, 100K plate “values” and the plug got pulled. We have never claimed that de-restriction works, but then again, neither does a restriction. We advocate a third way,
, instead of going cap in hand to the council. If it can't happen then so be it, we'll take our chances along with everyone else.
If a driver is qualified and paying a rental, there is no reason why he should be denied the choice to own or drive.
