Well so do I.

But I had my AA renewal through, £136(roadside, home start)

So I phoned them to cancel, and was offered the same service for £70!!

£66 off for a two minute call. Not bad, eh?

Yes they do, it's those beastly RAC folks that don't want our cash.

But Jimbo is right, cancel and wait for them to ring you. Say you have had a cheaper quote and I guarantee they will offer you a deal.

Unless of course your motor is two-bob and they have been called out dozens of time in the previous year.

Sorry I wasn't clear.

The RAC cover on a dearer business basis, whereas the AA do it under normal membership cover.

When you join the AA it's £36 for the very basic cover which IMO is no good, you've got to have the AA Relay which bumps it up no end.

I've always found that Green Flag offer a better service than either of the big two

That's as maybe but I can't even change a tyre, in fact it took the LO to point out where the spare tyre was kept

Dont' bother having cover at all. Wait until you break down THEN phone and join, they'll send someone out straight away, although using this method you may have to take out a higher level of cover and won't get any discounts.

I paid £18 each for my cars with the AA. This covers roadside assistance only although they will take you to the nearest garage for repairs. If you need recovery, you can just add this at the time for the vehicle that is broken down.
