...extinguishers :) Where do you put yours?
Council requests mine is securely fixed within easy reach of the driver.
Am I going to get away with it sat in the glovebox?

How big's your glove box   I think it has to be securely fixed and in sight.

Ours are in the boot. At the end of the day what are you going to do with it? The size that the councils require will hardly put out a cigarette.

Our council insist they are in the boot, they have said that if they are near or under the drivers seat, they could come loose and impair the pedals

Obviously I removed my gloves first
I'm worried about punters knocking their legs on it if I fix it in the footwell. I've got an elastic retaining strap in the boot holding the first aid kit in, maybe if I put first aid kit in glove box and extinguisher in boot? Hopefully the test centre will be gentle with me and I can adjust the arrangement if they're not happy.

I think boot is sensible, most likely place for a fire is in the engine bay therefore most sensible place to collect extinguisher from is as far away from engine bay as possible surely?

I remember fire training in my previous employment, first thing we were taught was how useless extinguishers are and not to bother unless it was a wastepaper basket.

Nottingham city council say they must be replaced when they are either 5 or 6 years old.

Put a plastic box in the boot to keep all your bit and pieces, and put your extinguisher in that box.
