well if thats the case, and i suspect it is.
with us having access to only the most basic of company figures and the absence of a professional valuation.
then i doubt it gets anywhere near the millions.
and its entry into companies house
http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/92dd6 ... ompdetailstotal exemption small

not for profit
obviously this company cant really be translated into value as you would a normal for profit company as its a co-op.
although with the amount of revenue it takes in is approx £1.7 mill pa we have no access to its expenditure.
but bearing in mind it has never paid a dividend out to its member then that says to me that it pretty much breaks even year in year out.
i think that is what it was intended to do,
run by members for members.as long as they don't muck up the books then it should run as it was intended to do.
now dougie
i paid £1500 for my plate(for want of a better phrase) and sold for between £35k and £50k.
you paid £6.5k for your position and wish to sell for £12k>£15k

six months after buying
when i sold the market was talked up for me i have always slated the thing but accepted it was there and took advantage of it.
you claim this is carpetbagging
you on the other hand wish to talk up your own market, and punt something on for a higher price than you paid for it.
nothing wrong with this imo
but the actual value of what your selling hasn't increased, city haven't doubled their work in that time(which would make it more attractive to a potential buyer) and they haven't doubled their profitability as a company(not that it can valued as such)
so gotta ask
where do you get your figures from
some would compare you to a bad snake oil salesman never mind a carpetbagger
another thing is you got everything on the cheap, you have no intention of selling.
so why do you wish to make it more expensive for potential new entrants to get into the trade
its almost as if your scared of better value competition.
thing is Dougie that competition already exist out with the controls of the restricted taxi market cartel.
there called ph.
so all your doing by talking up prices and making it more difficult to raise the finance and run at a good profit.
is damage the market you work in,and yes the ph do the same job as hack
bottom line is dougie youll get what someone is prepared to pay for it and in this climate i would imagine percieved value would go down not up.
but he good luck to you, welcome to the club.
