I took a VRQ & NVQ; in the taxi trade. Edexcel were asked by me to comment on errors in material & the examined syallabus. They took 4 months to reply & say they do not have the expertise to comment. My complaints are accepted outside the industry as correct. If I take GCSE latin, Edexcel will be able to explain the future pluperfect of the verb "amo"; but not a taxi / PHV course, and applicable law. Not only is the course a hazard but also the awarding body. The industry ignored emails altogether; the company Go Skills, made up of executives in transport companies & publishers ( B. Roland) of course booklets included.

Edexel wouldn't have provided the information themselves for the Latin query, it will have been provided by somebody who teaches Latin. On the other hand because Edexel have to ask trade members for explanations therein lies the problem and the reason it took so long to get a non answer. Edexel are only the awarding body not the writers of the course. The problems with any of these courses are the people who wrote it and the providers who just see ££££££s

I'm guessing that point was made by a chap from Sefton.
