Was "Lapenotiere" Captain of HMS PICKLE? I don't understand "departed with some mixed views" the PICKLE brought the news of Trafalgar and the death of Nelson, as celebrated by the Senior Rates in the RN to this day, Trafalgar Night being the Party Night for the Commissioned.

I use to to fish the solway net from Battle hill Annan, and go out on the solway with the halfenet good days.

I've just come in from a spot of shore fishing as it happens - four nice Bass for me to deal with. About £8.00 a pound I believe - don't know for sure - I've never bought any!

I believe when people come in from golf, they clean their balls.

I clean my fish.

No contest.

I love Bass but it has to be cooked in a special way :D
